Acrobats, clowns and trained animals have existed since immemorial time. But only Englishman Philip Astley figured out that demonstrating tricks on a galloping horse on a round stage is the most convenient way. And so, on January 9, 1768, a performance was held in London and it was the beginning of the circus in its modern form. For the interest the audience came to see how the former cavalryman juggles a saber while standing one foot on the saddle and the other on the horse's head. This performance became so popular with the audience that Astley invited other trickers, hired clowns and musicians. Then he put the roof over the arena and founded the first version of the modern circus whish was called «The Astley's amphitheatre».
At this moment, the amphitheater, founded by the legendary Astley, has been restored. As it turned out, a certain budget was received for further expansion and upgrade, including the adjacent territory. At this stage, a large batch of bricks is required. It was in Italy that the cargo was found and at a good price.
